SCRAP OR DARE: MASCULINE SERIES
This week's Scrap or Dare #6 is week 2 of this month's Masculine color challenges. I am hoping that this will help you get all of your cards or projects done in time for Father's Day! A prize will be given to one lucky winner that will be randomly chosen at the end of the three week series. You will receive an entry for each time you post a project (up to three entries -- one a week). *Please post by Father's Day, Sunday June 21st.
COLORS:
Barn Red
Outdoor Denim
Grey Flannel
Black
**My colors refer to the Close To My Heart colors. Feel free to use whichever colors you have on hand!**
I found this shirt at Urban Outfitters and I thought it fit perfectly for this challenge. This is also a shirt I may consider getting for my hubby, totally fits his cute style.
To participate simply create a project using these colors and post it on your blog or a public forum. Then return to my blog to link your project through Mr. Linky! It is super easy!! There have been problems with Mr.Linky lately so just in case it is not showing up, feel free to leave a link to your project as a comment :) I hope you all have fun creating!
I used this challenge to create a card for my cousin's high school graduation. He is a pretty creative guy so I think he will enjoy receiving this card. I think the font I used and the staples really made it more masculine and young!
Stamps Used:
Legendary Moments D1227
Delightful Alpha D1221
Argyle Backgrounds D1325
Embellishments: Black Brads, black Staples and gray Ribbon
Technique: Used the Paper Piercer all around the Barn Red cardstock and also used the brads to create a 2nd circle up in the corner for added dimension.
Thanks for checking it out and I hope you will play along!

This colour combo looks tough but I love your sample. I will try and play along this week :)
Gorgeous card, Amy!
Awesome card--hopefully I can play along...
I just found your blog from Kelly Jo's. Love what you have going on here. I'm always up for a new challenge so I'll be giving this color one a whirl. Great card and it will be good for me to try and make a masculine card.
thanks girls! I look forward to seeing what you all come up with... that card took me awhile to come up with since I am SO not use to such masculinity haha
I just couldn't make the red work - I hope this is still Ok!
